“An incessant wind of wide expanse blows through their nostrils whenever they breath in the wind of their pasturelands, standing as if congealed.“
Rudolf Binding, “Das Heiligtum der Pferde”
However luxurious it may be, no stable will ever be able to replace wide expanses of pastureland for horses, however well it has been formulated and developed, no feed will ever taste better than the delicate grass and the fresh-scented herbs of a spring meadow. For anyone with an affinity for horses and who is committed to their wellbeing, protection of nature is a matter of utmost importance.
The Foundation endeavours to maintain threatened habitats for animals and plants, and also to create new ones within the scope of its commitment to nature protection. Furthermore, the Foundation sponsors measures to ensure the sustainable conservation and development of cultural landscapes. The best place to start with, of course, is our own home: We are constantly striving to optimise ecological standards at the Rosenhof and surrounding area and to run it in as environmentally-friendly a way as possible.
