“Show me a man who has no sympathy with his horse and I will present him to you as one who is a cruel husband if he is married and a tyrannical father to his children, if he has any. I will show him to you as a man who would behave as Prince Nero if he had power. He is a coward by nature and a monster by means of practice.”
George Eliot, “Middlemarch”
Wherever it is a question of the wellbeing of horses and of horsemanship, animal welfare is an integral and inalienable element. Respect for creation requires us not only to take on responsibility for our own horses and animals but also to engage ourselves for those which suffer from ignorance, neglect or even cruelty elsewhere. The Anja Beran Foundation will always respond quickly as well as flexibly wherever it is necessary and important in the interests of animal welfare. The Foundation will always bring its authority to bear in verbal, written or practical form wherever is required in the interests of animal welfare.
